Bennettsville Mr. Johnny Sweatt, widower of Mrs. Betty Lou Sweatt, passed away, Thursday, January 3, 2019, at his residence after an illness. He was 71. Mr. Sweatt was born in Bennettsville, SC on September 4, 1947 to the late Belvin Sr. and Betty Stubbs Sweatt.

He was a member of Nebo Wesleyan Church in Hamlet, NC. He was machine operator for JP Stevenson and Galey & Lord. He enjoyed, NASCAR, fishing, farm animals, working in the yard, spending time outdoors, and especially loved his dogs Sparky and Dixie.

Mr. Sweatt leaves behind to cherish his memory; sons, Timothy Brock Sweatt and Phillip Jason Sweatt of Bennettsville; brothers, Jimmy Sweatt and Belvin Sweatt, Jr. of Bennettsville; sisters, Betty Jean Sweatt, Diane Hodge, Marie Hunt, and Carolyn Eppilitto of Bennettsville; grandchildren, Jacob Luke Sweatt and McKenzie Burr Sweatt. Mr. Sweatt was preceded in death by his parents and wife listed above. A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Monday, January 7, 2019 at Burroughs Funeral Home with burial at Sunset Memorial Park, officiated by Rev.

Mike Sweatt. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 6, 2019 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to: The American Cancer Society, 181 E Evans St, Florence, SC 29506.
