Obituary for Josefina M. Saenz Josefina M. Saenz entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at her residence in McAllen, Texas. She was born in Rio Blanco, Qro, Mexico to Roman Mata and Paula Guillen and was a resident of McAllen for most of her life. Josefina was a member of Iglesia Bautista Bethel in McAllen for many years.

She enjoyed tending to her beautiful garden, visiting her children and grandchildren, and attending the symphony. She was a beautiful, generous and caring woman who loved to laugh and meet new people. Josefina is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Emilio Saenz and her children, Rick Saenz, Ana Saenz, Sylvia Saenz, Rose Saenz, Bertha Saenz, Sam Saenz, Roman Saenz and Daniel Saenz.

She was predeceased by her son Jose Saenz. She is survived by her grandchildren, Gavin Ysaguirre, Gabrielle Ysaguirre, Madeline Ysaguirre, Rannen Ysaguirre, Jack Herrera, Alan Morales, Alanis Morales, Monica Guerrero, Melody Saenz, Miranda Saenz, Emilio Saenz, Emily Saenz, and Lila Saenz, as well as her sisters, Eleuteria Mata Guillen, Hermenegilda Mata Guillen, Aurelia (Cleofas) Mata Guillen, Rosa Zamora, Gertrudis Saenz, and Paula Echeverria. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, July 20,2018 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan Blvd.

from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A prayer service will start at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 9:00 am at the funeral home.
