Obituary for Joseph F. Rigney Joseph F. Rigney, 70 of Rushville, passed away on January 3, 2019 in Columbus. He was born on October 8, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Joseph F. and Mary Eleanor (Kahmar) Rigney. Joseph was a 1966 graduate of Connersville High School then attended IU East and Indiana University.

Joseph married Jamie L. (Reitzel) Rigney on February 21, 1976 and she survives. He attended St. Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the Elks Lodge #1307 in Rushville. Joe was a very talented musician and sang at numerous local establishments.

He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his winter home in Punta Gorda, Florida with friends. In addition to his wife, Jamie, Joe is survived by his son, Jacob (Kassi) Rigney of Indianapolis; brother, Tom (Lori) Rigney of Fishers; sisters, Mary (Joseph) DiGirolamo of Bensalem, PA, Kass (Ray) Wall of Bensalem, PA, Joan McCane of Glenwood, IN, Pat (Don) Cloyd of Everton, IN. He will also be missed by his granddaughter, Eleanor Rigney.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents; his infant brother; and his niece, Jennifer Simpkins. Services will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 1PM in Moster Mortuary, with Father James Brockmeier presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family in the mortuary from 11 AM until the time of service.

Burial will be held in Dale Cemetery in Connersville, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church or any Elks Lodge Charity. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Joseph F. Rigney please visit our Sympathy Store.
