Obituary for Joseph Norman Mudd Sr. Mudd, Joseph N., Sr., 89, born January 24, 1929 passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. He was a graduate of Flaget High School, a Navy Veteran who served the USS Valley Forge during the Korean Conflict, a member of the American Legion Post 220 and a member of St. Peter the Apostle Church. He served for the Louisville Police Department for several years before his retirement with BF Goodrich.

Joe is preceded in death by his wives, Freda and Laura Mudd; his oldest son, Joe Jr. and a granddaughter, Crystal Clark as well as four brothers. He is survived by sons, Rick (Cindy), Tom (Janet), Jim (Becki) and Paul (Paula) Mudd; daughters, Mary (John) Fuchs, Janice Grinestaff, Joan Bigham, Nancy Helton and his daughter in law, Kathy Mudd, sister, Ann Alpiger Beisler; step sons, Bill (Michele) and David Heintz; 24 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018, 10 a.m. at Ratterman Keenan Southwest Chapel, 4832 Cane Run Road with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
