“Together Again” BRIGHAM CITY – On Monday, April 30, 2018, Joseph C. Roybal passed away from this life and was reunited with his sweetheart Marlene. He was born on December 12, 1931 in Walensburg, CO. , a son of Teofilo and Eloisa Roybal.

He married Marlene Arnold Roybal on January 13, 1951 in Elko, NV. Their loving union of 63 years together blessed them with six children: Ron (Beverly) Roybal, Linda (Pat) Willick, Sandy (Greg) Hansen, Joleen (Perry) Russell, Earnie Roybal, Kathy (Pete) Hackford, and ex-daughter-in-law Virginia Roybal. Dad went to school in Vernal, Utah, where he excelled in track & field, basketball and football.

He worked for the Southern Pacific and Union Pacific Railroads for over 42 years. He retired as a District manager for the Union Pacific Railroad. His hobbies included camping, fishing, hunting, and he played recreational basketball well into his 70’s.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, parents, three great-grandchildren, a sister, a half-brother and half-sister. He is survived by his six children, 24 grandchildren, and 51 great-grandchildren as well as his brother Earnest Roybal and sister Sylvia Demaline. The family wishes to thank the staff at Maple Springs Assisted Living, and Pioneer Care Center.

There will be no formal funeral service. Respecting our fathers wishes, there will be graveside services for family only. In lieu of flowers, please kindly make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
