Stella Mari Staton-Johansen Our precious, beautiful daughter, Stella, passed away in the morning of June 21, 2018, as family and friends surrounded her. Stella was born June 26, 1990 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Tamara Joy Robinson and Lawrence Staton. James Johansen and Chris Schuessler raised Stella.

Stella had been sick for a long time as she was diagnosed with kidney failure at the age of fourteen. She endured pain throughout her life that she faced with much patience and great courage. She gained her freedom from pain and no longer suffers, as there is a great celebration in heaven as she returned home.

Stella was preceded in death by many grandparents; her biological father, several aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her Mom Tamara, her Dad’s James and Chris, her siblings: Joshua (Lupe) Robinson – Avatongo, Sarah (Michael) Metcalf, Lawrence (Sandi) Staton, Nora Staton, Martha (Brian) Strickland, Frank (Jennifer) Staton; her grandparents Bob and Carmen Schuessler; six nieces and three nephews, as well as many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Stella was the best Aunty in the world to her nieces as she spent her free time playing with them, teaching them to paint their nails, to do their makeup as well as to go shopping.

She loved to travel (her dream trip to Italy) and explore new places having an adventure was her escape; spending time with her nieces was her breath of fresh air. When she was alone she loved to catch up on her favorite shows (Little House on the Prairie, for one), watch a favorite movie (the original Disney version, Beauty and the Beast) or read her favorite series of books, The Little House on the Prairie, as well as, she loved to paint and color as a way to express her inner beauty. A viewing will be held Wednesday, June 27, 2018 from 9 to 11 a.m. with Funeral Services at 11 a.m. at the Canyon Hollows Ward, 1550 Rushton Street, Ogden.
