Don Ruland Hadfield born November 16, 1935, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2018. He was born in Ogden, UT the son of Ruland (Slim) and Louise Charlton Hadfield. He graduated from Weber High School and went on to graduate from Weber State College with a Business Finance degree.

He married MarVanne Robertson on January 21, 1957; the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Together they raised 4 children. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he served in the Bishopric and held multiple callings.

He loved serving with the young men. He and his wife served 11 years as Guest Services Missionaries on Temple Square. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad with more than 40 years of service.

He is survived by his wife MarVanne and his children: Kent (Suzan) Hadfield of Meridian, ID, Bart (Becci) Hadfield of Las Vegas, NV, Kimberly (Alan) Simonton of Omaha, NE and Blake Hadfield of West Haven; 13 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren whom he adores. Thank you to Dr. Drollinger and Kady and a special thanks to Diana and Julie with Intermountain Home Health and Hospice. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the LDS Church Building at 4855 S. 300 W., Washington Terrace with a viewing prior from 9 to10:45 a.m. Interment will be at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
