Obituary for Tobias Lee Herrera Tobias Lee Herrera “Toby”, 71, passed away February 7, 2018 in Ogden Utah at Ogden Regional Medical Center. He was born December 24, 1946 in Montrose, Colorado to Pete G. Herrera and Elizabeth Quintana. He married Judith Madeline Guittard in Elko, NV and they have enjoyed 38 years together.

He moved to Ogden, UT as a child and attended elementary school and graduated from Ben Lomond High School. He owned J & L Painters and worked in the security industry. He honorably served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War.

Toby was an avid car collector and restored a ’47 Pontiac, ’76 Chevy Cheyenne and a 1965 Impala. He enjoyed putting together model cars and restored furniture and taking old things and making them look like new. A man of All Trades and could fix anything.

He was a big jokester and had a bigger than life personality. He is survived by his Wife Judy; children: Pete J. Herrera, Elizabeth M. Herrera, Tobias Herrera Jr., John Paul Tafoya, Gabriel Garcia, Step Children: Amalia Garcia, Ramon Garcia, Stephanie Rostel (Jason). Grandchildren: Nevaeh, Shylesia, Ary; Step Grandchildren: Andrew, Demetrius, Alex, Aliyssa, Dylan, Julissia, Antonio, Keria, Jose, Noble and Ryleigh.

He is also survived by Siblings: Victoria Uribe, Mary Jane Mittelstaedt (Mel); Sister-in-law: Amy Richie and 2 special cousins: Cordy and Pat Quintana. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Brother: Pete Jr., Nephew Mark Uribe, Brother-in-law Alfred Uribe and Step Son: Miguel Garcia. A viewing will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 from 5:00-7:00p.m. at Provident Funeral Home, 3800 Washington Blvd.
