Douglas Alan Hunt Douglas Alan Hunt, 66, passed away peacefully, but unexpectedly in his sleep on June 26, 2018. He was born on January 24, 1952 to William and Joan Robinson Hunt in Mineola, New York, but grew up in Sacramento, California. He was the oldest of three boys.

After high school, he decided to travel and spent over a decade in South America and enjoyed learning and speaking Spanish. He was known for his laughter, intellect, and his lifelong love of learning. He married Lonnie Grover on July 5, 1994 in West Jordan.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Between the two of them, they had 9 children. Douglas joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on June 24, 1992.

He was involved in family history, doing genealogical work, and Scouting. He earned his Eagle Scout. He enjoyed going on road trips, camping, and four-wheeling and was the King of puns.

He loved spending time with his family and his wife’s large family. Douglas is survived by his wife of 24 years, Lonnie; his children: Aimee Mendoza, Rocio (Cio) Hunt, Brian Hunt, John Hunt, Crystal Hunt, Shauna Jensen, Sheryl Misrasi, Christie Knecht, and Brian Smith; 16 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Camelot Park Ward, 7255 S 2200 W, West Jordan.
