Obituary of Joseph O’Hara Joseph Leslie “Les” O’Hara, 70, husband of Elise Ballard O’Hara, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his residence. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 3pm. in Lowcountry Community Church.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2pm-3pm. Born in Atlanta, GA on March 6, 1948, he was a son of the late Ralph Richard O’Hara and the late Esther Richardson O’Hara. Mr. O’Hara was a devoted member and past trustee of the Lowcountry Community Church.

He loved playing golf in his younger years and after retiring from real estate, spent his free time hunting and fishing and enjoying the outdoors. Mr. O’Hara loved his family beyond measure, especially his grandchildren, with whom he spent as much time as possible. He was a devoted husband, father, and “papa” who will be missed immensely.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years, are one son, Joseph Trey O’Hara of Pawleys Island, SC; one daughter, Jodi O’Hara Truluck (Brad) of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren, Jesse Leigh O’Hara, Mackenzi Elise Truluck, Kadence Elizabeth O’Hara; Ellison Lee Truluck; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, George and Doug O’Hara. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lowcountry Community Church at 4430 Murrells Inlet Road, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
