Joyce L. Menges, 84, of Hanover, PA, entered God’s Eternal Care, Sunday, January 6, 2019 at the Hanover Hall Nursing Center with her loving family by her side. Born January 31, 1934, in Menges Mills, PA she was the daughter of the late William B. and Ruth E. (Decker Menges. Joyce was a member of the Hanover Loyal Order of the Moose where she was the former Recorder, and a life member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary.

Joyce was a 1951 graduate of Eichelberger High School. While in high school, she worked during her lunch period at Kline restaurant. She was the Production Planner for R. H. Shepperd Co., Inc. for 47 years until her retirement in 1999.

Joyce is survived by one son, Martin L. Menges of East Berlin, PA, and two siblings, Philip H. Menges and Helen M. Menges both of Hanover, PA. She was preceded in death by one son, Michael E. Menges and one brother, William B. Menges, Jr. A funeral service to celebrate and remember Joyce’s life will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA, with the Rev. Katherine Seiler officiating.

Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover, PA. A viewing and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Friday, January 11, 2019 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Joyce’s memory to York County SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail, York, PA 17406 or the Hanover Red Cross, 529 Carlisle St, Hanover, PA 17331.

The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements to the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick Street, Hanover, PA. Memories and condolences may be shared at www. kenworthyfh.com.
