Obituary for Joyce L. Stephens (Fagan) Joyce L. Stephens, 85, of Ashland, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, January 15, 2019 at University Hospital Samaritan Medical Center. Joyce was born in Lancaster, Ohio on July 3, 1933 to the late John and Gretchen (Weis) Fagan. She was a loving wife to her husband and loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchild.

She enjoyed reading and watching U-Tube. She was married in 1952 to Russell D. Stephens who preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her children, Mike Stephens, Russell (Laura) Stephens, Vernon Stephens, Gene Stephens, Cheryl (Tim) Hannum, Michelle Stephens, Christina (Wendall) Thomas, Carol (Bobby) Graham, Barb Hackworth and Lori (George) Given; 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and one great-great- grandson.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Russell D. Stephens and a daughter, Debra L. Nead in 1991. A time of gathering for family and friends will be held Friday evening, January 18, 2019 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home, 313 Center St. Ashland. Denbow-Gasche Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with the arrangements.
