OBITUARY Joyce Lagana October 20, 1944 – December 15, 2018 Joyce (Chamberlain) Lagana, 74, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Biagio “Gino” Lagana, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Joyce was born on October 20, 1944 in Van Buren, Maine and was the daughter of the late Alcide and Theresa (Roy) Chamberlain. Joyce was an avid reader and spent countless hours pouring through every genre of book.

She enjoyed both knitting and crocheting for others. She loved spending time with her family and watching her children and grandchildren grow. Joyce was loving, patient and kind.

She welcomed all who entered her home. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife, mother and an especially beloved grandmother. Joyce leaves her children, Domenic Lagana of Glastonbury, Theresa Cioffi and her husband Matthew of Wakefield, MA, Gina Burby of Wethersfield, and Melissa Rodriguez and her husband Richard of Hebron.

She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Domenic, Blaise and Liam Burby, Helena and William Cioffi and Aaron and Sophia Rodriguez. Her sisters Carlene Sladyk of South Windsor, and Gloria Charbonneau and her husband Burt of Windham, Maine. Joyce also leaves many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was predeceased by her siblings, Nelson Chamberlain, Jeannine Montanile, Patricia Shane and Gene Chamberlain. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a scholarship fund in Joyce’s name, care of East Catholic High School, 115 New State Rd. , Manchester, CT 06042 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect Street, Wethersfield.

Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial immediately to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. There will be no calling hours.
