Joyce Lane White, 83, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN. The Scottsville, KY native was a retired school teacher from 1953 to 1996, a member of Oak Forest No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church, Patrick Gilmore Chapter D.A.R., Allen County Homemakers and Foster Care Parent Review Board.

She was a daughter of the late Jesse Alton Lane and Lillie Maye Holland Lane and wife of the late Darron C. White of 46 years. She is survived by 2 sons: Joseph Darron White and wife, Libby, Hendersonville, TN; Jonathan Dale White and wife, Lisa, Cary, N.C.; 2 brothers: Harold Gene Lane and wife, Ludy, Cape Coral, FL; Donald Ray Lane and wife, Rita, Scottsville, KY; 1 sister: Fern Lane Brownfield, Scottsville, KY; 2 sisters-in-law: Ann Lane, Scottsville, KY and Patsy Lane, Crossville, TN; 1 brother-in-law: Roger Dale White, Scottsville, KY; 2 grandsons: Spencer White and Tanner White, both of Cary, N.C. and several nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Ralph B. Lane, Lealand Morris Lane and Richard Dale Lane. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 8, 2018 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro.

Matt Brown officiating and burial in Allen County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday and after 7:00 A.M until funeral time Friday at Goad Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson Street, Nashville, TN 37203 or made at Goad Funeral Home.
