Obituary for Judi Ann Vaughn Judi A. Vaughn, 69, passed away at 6:20 PM Tuesday February 12, 2019 at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, IL. Judi (Hall) was born on April 24, 1949 to The Late Madlyn (Piercy) Hall and Lyndol L. (Pete) Hall. In addition to her parents, Judi was preceded in death by infant brother Michael Hall.
Judi is survived by two children, Stacie (Vaughn) Endrizzi of Johnston City, IL and Scott Vaughn of Denver, CO and four grandchildren, Bryar Endrizzi, Brylea Endrizzi, Anne-Kirke Vaughn and Grayson Vaughn. Judi is also survived by four siblings, Julie (Hall) Duncan of Middletown, Delaware, Jan Hall of Sanford, Florida, Jody Hall of Mount Vernon, IL and Joni (Hall) Smith of Mount Vernon, IL and several other loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She is also survived by her loving Aunt Mabel (Piercy) Etheridge of Mount Vernon.
Judi was a funny, talented and adventurous person who excelled in several career fields during her life. She had many different skills, was a quick learner and was highly competent at every job she attempted. Small in stature at 4 foot 11, she had a big personality that always shone through whether she was waiting tables at restaurants in Nashville, Tennessee or driving an 18-wheeler semi-truck across the United States.
A natural caregiver and caretaker at heart, in her later years she worked in the healthcare field providing care, support and surely laughter to the mostly elderly patients she served. Always young at heart, Judi was known for her sense of humor and her dedication to living life her way. She loved Mickey Mouse.
Judi had a deep connection with animals and cared for many pets throughout her life. She was the life of the party, never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who loved her – family, friends and pets included. A graveside memorial service for Judi is planned for Saturday February 23, 2019 at 11 AM at Old Shiloh Cemetery in Mount Vernon, IL.
