Judith’s Obituary East Hampstead, NH: Judith L. (Watson) Buchanan, 71, of East Hampstead and a former resident of Plaistow, died unexpectedly on February 16, 2019 while vacationing in Florida. Born in Lewiston, Maine, daughter of the late Laurance and Therna (Hicks) Watson, she was raised in Lewiston and Auburn, Maine. She attended local schools and graduated from the Edward Little High School in Auburn.

She later attended Fazio’s Hairdressing School in Lawrence, MA and worked for many years as a self-employed hairdresser. Mrs. Buchanan lived for several years in Sebastian, Florida before returning to the area twelve years ago. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Judith enjoyed spending time with her family at Old Orchard Beach and Lake Winnipesaukee, and camping at Sebago Lake, as well as all of the family holidays and special events and celebrations.

She also enjoyed gardening and crafting edible fruit arrangements for her family’s enjoyment. Predeceased in 2005 by her husband of fifteen years, John Buchanan, she will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jodi M. and Shaun LeBlanc of Hampstead, and Jamie P. and Cory Beaulieu of Plaistow, a son and daughter-in-law, John A., Jr. and Kate Blinn of Derry, a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Michael Murphy of Lisbon, CT, step-son, Kenneth Buchanan of Palm Harbor, FL, nine grandchildren, John A. Blinn III, Dylan M. Blinn, Ethean C. Blinn, Katelyn G. Blinn, Alexander S. LeBlanc, Elise M. LeBlanc, Ashlyn M. Beaulieu, Shea L. Beaulieu, and Evelyn Buchanan, her longtime companion, James Cook of Rockledge, FL, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother, Alfred Watson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Judith’s Calling Hours and Life Celebration to be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Brookside Chapel & Funeral Home, 116 Main St., Plaistow.
