Obituary for Judy Carol Hensley Rogers Judy Carol Hensley Rogers, age 67, of Elizabethton, TN passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at her residence. A native of Elizabethton, she was the daughter of the late Foy and Ruth Puckett Hensley. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her first husband and her children’s father, Jack Leon Rogers; two daughters, Marilyn Kelly Rogers and April Renee Rogers; a son, John David “John Boy” Rogers and two sisters, Teresa Scalf and JoAnn Coontz. Those left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Elizabeth Pitman, Athens, TN and Frances Hicks, North Carolina; a sister, Debbie Perry and husband Clarence, Elizabethton and a brother, Jessie Hensley and John, Athens, TN. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.

A service to honor the life of Judy Carol Hensley Rogers will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Chris Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00-2:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the service or at the residence of her sister, Debbie Perry at other times.

Interment will follow the funeral service on Friday in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care to Ms. Rogers.
