OBITUARY Julia Lee August 17, 1934 – September 5, 2018 Julia “Geneva” McCormick Lee, 84, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at home. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00pm, Friday, September 7, 2018, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Funeral services are 10:00am, Saturday, in the funeral home chapel with graveside services to follow at 1:00pm in Pleasant Hills Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogue Chitto.

Geneva was born August 17, 1934, in Bogue Chitto, Mississippi, a daughter of the late W.W. McCormick and Flora Kyzar McCormick. Geneva was an active member of McLaurin Heights Baptist Church in Pearl for more than 50 years. Geneva had a true servant’s heart, and spent years caring for for 15 years until his death in 2005.

Geneva enjoyed staying active and was known by many in Pearl for her frequent neighborhood walks. She was also a member of T.O.P.S. where she successfully lost 60 lbs and kept it off.

She continued to enjoy T.O.P.S. meetings and was a supporter for many other members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robbie Lee; brother, Wade McCormick; and sister, Aline May.

Survivors include son, Willie Lee (Martha); daughters, Patricia Curtis (David), and Robbin Lee; grandchildren, Kennon Curtis (Candi), Katie Windham (Bennett), Pierce Lee, and Nicholas Lee; great-grandchildren, Ava Curtis, Ella Curtis, Julia Windham, and a great-grandson due in January 2019; as well as many nieces, nephews, beloved friends, and her feline companions, Bear and Minnie. The family would like to express a special loving thanks to Geneva’s caregivers, Martha Vickers, Roxie Carpenter, Linda McDaniel, and Millie Felder; and “that fella”, Troy Fisher. Memorials may be made to McLaurin Heights Baptist Church, 404 Pemberton Dr., Pearl, MS 39208.
