June Carter Steele Orrock June 10, 1923 ~ June 29, 2018 Phyllis June Carter Steele Orrock, 95, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018. She was born June 10, 1923 in Porterville, Utah, the 12th of 13 children, to Thomas and Nancy Mabel Porter Carter. At the age of 15, the family moved to Ogden where June graduated from Weber High School.

On December 24, 1942, June married Billy Henry Steele in Seattle, WA. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Billy served in the US Coast Guard and they moved around the country during WW II.

He preceded her in death October 14, 2001. On April 7, 2005, June married Phil William Orrock in St. George, UT. He preceded her in death October 10, 2014.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. June worked as an office manager for Dr. Bart Wolthius, Sr. for 24 years. .

She enjoyed golfing, bowling, sewing and craft work. She spent her summers at the family cabin in Star Valley, WY and winters in Yuma, AZ or Blythe, CA. June is survived by her children, Scott ( Kaylene) Steele, North Ogden; Renae (Steven) Woldberg, Morgan; nine grandchildren, Denise (Kerry) Norris, Alissa (Brett) Shupe, Becki (Brent) Hadley, Shawn (Amy) Steele, Noah (LaShae) Steele, Kaylee (Tony) Merrill, Sarah (Chris) Quilter, Steve (Jessica) Johnson; 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, one granddaughter, Kelli Woldberg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
