Karen’s Obituary GALEY, Karen Mae (Hitchcock) – of Flint, MI, age 73, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 after a battle with cancer. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Monday, June 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors 2-8 PM Sunday, June 2, 2019 and 12-1 PM Monday, June 3, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. Karen was born in Flint, MI on April 9, 1946, daughter of the late Richard and Frances (Haggerty) Hitchcock. She married Gerald Galey on October 10, 1964.

Karen was a graduate of Genesee High School Class of 1964. She worked for Citizen’s Bank for a number of years. Karen was in love with her whole family.

She loved traveling, going on two cruises including Hawaii. Karen also enjoyed gardening, tending to her flowers, playing slots at the casino and bowling. Karen is survived by her son, Wayne (Tina) Galey; ex-husband, Gerald Galey; 2 brothers, Brian (Paula) Hitchcock and Dale Hitchcock; 3 granddaughters, Jennifer, Cassandra and Hannah; grandson, Kyle; many other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, David Allen Galey. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Nancy Wright, Lou Templeton and Lisa Kingsbury for being such loving and supportive friends to Karen. Please share your thoughts with the family at www.
