Karla Mae (Gilbreath) Clayton, 63, passed away in her home on October 2, 2018. She was born to Mary M Tomson on December 10, 1955. Karla was adopted and raised by Carl “Gene” Gilbreath and Stella Mae Foutz.

Karla is preceded in death by her adoptive mother Stella. She is survived by Gene and her step-mother Jessie; as well as her brother Kevin E Gilbreath and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Clayton family, Judy, Ronald, and Brenda for all their generosity and caring for Karla.

Karla worked as a nurse at local nursing homes and hospitals before being on disability. She enjoyed crafting and sewing. Karla loved to play the piano.

She was also a big dog lover. Karla was also a member of United Methodist Temple. Visitation for Karla will be held on Saturday, October 6 at United Methodist Temple, 5301 S US Highway 41, Terre Haute IN from 2-4 PM with services following.

Burial will be at Sullivan Center Ridge Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to either the membership care of United Methodist Temple or Seelyville United Methodist Church or a Cancer Center of your choice.
