Katherine B. Murray Murray, Katherine B. ‘Kitty’, age 86 of Tucson, AZ, and Conway, MI passed away Monday July 9, 2018. A loving mother and devoted wife; she had an active life caring for her husband and four children. She enjoyed her golf, bridge, bowling groups, and socializing with her lifelong close-knit friends she had in both ‘homes’.

She loved to read, solve jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and would never turn down a chance to play cards or a board game. She had a generous loving heart and adored her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren immensely. Kitty was born in Piqua, OH, attending Smith College and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School.

While living and working as a secretary in NYC, she met and married Robert “Bob” S. Murray on January 12, 1957. Their children Katherine and Robert were born in NYC. Later, her husband’s job took them to Scotland, where Susan and Elizabeth were born.

In 1965, she and her family moved to Tucson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry L. and Ruth W. Bell, husband Robert S. Murray, and brother Craig H. Bell. She is survived by daughter Katherine (Steve) Hubbard and children Alex and Annie; son Robert W. Murray (Mary Rardon) and children Connor, Kathleen and Jack; daughter Susan B. Murray (Julie Dixon) and children Ben and Kyle; daughter Elizabeth S. Starr and children Calla and Natalie.

Kitty and Bob were involved in many organizations within their ‘home’ communities including Tucson Museum of Art, Green Fields School, Tucson Country Club, Tucson Symphony and Crooked Lake Yacht Club. Her love, light and laughter will be greatly missed by all.
