Obituary for Mrs. Katherine Marie Deitrich Katherine Marie Deitrich (nee Platt) age 92 years of Clarksboro went home to be with the Lord on Monday June 11, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Swedesboro and lived in Clarksboro since 1950. Prior to her marriage she worked for Mobil Research and was a homemaker after her marriage.

Mrs. Deitrich was a devoted member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Paulsboro where she belonged to the United Methodist Women, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and served on the Memorial Fund Committee. She was an avid reader, enjoyed camping, traveling to historical sites, sewing and crocheting. She is survived by her children, Susan and Tom Schafer of Rose, NY, William Deitrich of Newfield, Chris and Sandra Deitrich of Pittsgrove, Margaret and Don Bowen of Auburn, NY, Chester Jr. and Angel Deitrich of Pittsgrove; her grandchildren, Jade, Katrina, Joshua, Jason, Chris, Kristyn, Matthew, Chester III and William Cole; 11 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and her brother, Claude R. Platt of Wilmington, NC.

Mrs. Deitrich was predeceased by her husband, Chester Deitrich Sr., 1 sister and 3 brothers. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Friday June 15, 2018 in St. Paul’s U.M. Church, 2 E. Broad St., Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday morning after 9:30 AM in church until service time.

Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Arrangements by McBride – Foley Funeral Home, Paulsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to the General Fund of St. Paul’s Church, Paulsboro, NJ 08066.
