Kathryn Corbin Stowe, 79, of Danville, Va. , was promoted to heaven on Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Duke Regional Hospital, Durham, N.C. She was born January 9, 1939, in Danville to the late Lena Moore Corbin and the late Clyde Corbin.

She is survived by her husband Tommy Stowe. Mrs. Stowe worked as a floral designer. She was a member of Westover Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Stowe is survived by her son, Paul Owen and wife, Cathy of Allen, Texas; her daughters,… Read More » Beth Scearce and husband, Donnie of Dorchester, Ontario, Canada, and Patricia Cifers and husband, Mitch of Providence, N.C.; her brother, Berkley Corbin; and her grandchildren, Courtney Collins and husband, Josh, Matt Owen and wife, Becca, Joshua Scearce, Caleb Scearce and wife, Kirsten, Jacob Cifers and Benjamin Cifers. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Archer Collins, Ethan Scearce, and Noah Scearce. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stowe was predeceased by three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel with Rev. Freddy Vicks officiating.

Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
