Kathryn “Kay” Miller, 80, of Rutland Town, VT died Monday October 8, 2018 at the Meadows in Rutland Town. She was born on July 2, 1938 in Murphysboro, IL, the daughter of Fred C. and Ruby (Cochran) Buchholz. Mrs. Miller grew up in Murphysboro and lived in Danville, IL for many years prior to relocating to Rutland Town in 2016.

She enjoyed gardening and interior decorating. Mrs. Miller was a member of the 2nd Church of Christ Survivors include 2 step-sons; Kurt Miller of Castleton, VT and Kevin Miller of Mercedes, TX, a step-daughter, Sylvia Kivett of Oregon, 3 sisters; Louise Panko of PA, Cora Weiss of AZ and Ann White of Il, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Leon “Bud” Miller in 2016, a brother, Wendell Cochran, a sister, Margie, a granddaughter, Jami Miller and great-granddaughter Danica Miller.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 at the VA protestant Chapel with Drew Mentzer officiating. Burial will follow in Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
