Kelly Lorence Poole, age 54 of Nevis, MN died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at his farm in Hubbard County. Kelly was born on September 9, 1963 in Minneapolis, MN to Albert and Louise (Tholkes) Poole. He graduated from Nevis High School in 1983.

Kelly entered the National Guard in 1983 holding the rank of Sergeant at the time he was discharged in 1995. He was an active member of the Star of the North Marine Corps League Honor Guard assisting as a Color Bearer. Besides a short time in Idaho, Kelly lived his life in the Nevis, area working several jobs, North Beach Resort, Rice Builders, Truck Driver, R D Offutt Company and Nevis City Council. Kelly was an active farmer, which included raising goats and assisting his wife with Rhodes Garden Center. He enjoyed hunting and trapping.

Kelly is survived by his wife, Lisabeth (Rhodes) Poole of Nevis MN ; mother, Louise Poole of Nevis; mother-in-law, Annette Rhodes of Nevis; former wife, Sherry Poole of Menahga MN; children, Daisy Poole of Menahga, Becca Poole of Menahga, Violet Poole (Darin Pickar) of Sebeka, Loren Poole of Park Rapids, Chantelle (Shawn) Rowland of Nevis, Dustin (Jen) Hamm of Bemidji, Will (Brianna) Engels of Pequot Lakes, Jamie (James Hodgin) Engels of Cottage Grove and Shelby Engels of Nevis; grandchildren, Jackie, Tyler, Amelia, Alanna, Isaiah, Lauretta, Jesse, Adalynn, Mat, Emma, Sam, Eli, and Ethan; brother, Scott (Teresa) Poole of Nevis; sisters, Tammie (Eric) Ruther of Park Rapids, Jodi (Shane) Faerber of Andover. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 2:00pm at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel of Park Rapids, MN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 5-7pm at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel of Park Rapids, MN Visitation will also be held for 1 hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Wednesday.
