Kelvin Jerome Caldwell, the son of the late Grover Bossey Caldwell and the late Mary Alice Harris Caldwell was born on January 24, 1955 in Concord, NC. Kelvin departed this life on Sunday, February 24, 2019. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Janice M. Caldwell.

Kelvin was affectionately known as “Toebean, Tobe and Keb” by his family and friends. Tobe grew up in the Shankletown, Sidestown and Rock Hill communities and was educated in the Cabarrus County Schools System. He was employed with Hill’s Subcontractor at the time of his death.

Keb enjoyed watching sports, spending time with his cousins, socializing with his Shankletown and Sidetown buddies and vigorously and affectionately giving hugs and handshakes to those who crossed his path. Toebean NEVER met a stranger and didn’t hesitate giving a helping hand to anyone in need. Those left to cherish his memories include his brother, Melvin Caldwell (Julie) of Kannapolis; one nephew, William Caldwell of Kannapolis and one niece, Tameika Bostick of Concord; two great-nieces and five great-nephews.

One aunt, Estelle Caldwell of Concord and one uncle, Vernon Pharr of Kannapolis. Keb also leaves his close friends, Mrs. Frances Ann Brewer and Reggie Brewer, along with a host of cousins and friends who mourn his loss and will always treasure their memories of him.
