Kenneth Jay Stanley, Sr. age 78 of Irondale, OH passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 3, 1940 in Weirton, WV. Kenneth was retired from the Weirton Steel Company; loved to fish and was a former member of the Irondale Volunteer Fire Department.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Elizabeth (Fowler) Stanley in 2006 whom he married June 8, 1962; mother, Margaret (Stanley) Blevins; step-father, Paul Blevins and a brother, James Blevins. Kenneth is survived by his sons, Kenneth J. “Tyke” Stanley, Jr. and companion Susan Vandyke of Irondale, OH, Gary L. (Christine) Stanley of Negley, OH and Jeffrey L. (Mary) Stanley of Irondale, OH; grandchildren, Derek (Jessica) Stanley and Justin (Brittiny) Stanley all of Negley, OH; great-grandchildren, Victoria, Amelia and Lyanna Stanley; sisters, Ann (Richard) Melhorn of Knoxville, OH, Mary (James) Baumgarner of East Liverpool, OH, Amy (Wayne) Elverd of Knoxville, OH, Barbara (Rich) Wiant and Betty Shields all of Toronto, OH and Paula (Mike) Montgomery of Knoxville, OH; brothers, Rockford Kay Stanley of Weirton, WV, Paul Ray Blevins of Toronto, OH and Charles Lee (Karen) Blevins of Bergholz, OH. Visitation hours for Kenneth will be held 2-4 & 6-8 Wednesday, June 6th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Kenneth’s life will be held 11 A.M. Thursday, June 7th at the funeral home with the Reverend Susan Clegg officiating. Interment will follow at the Sugar Grove Union Cemetery, County Road 68, Toronto. To send condolences to the family, go to www.
