Julia “Judy” Kriviski Simpson, age 91 of Toronto, OH passed away surrounded by her loving family Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH. She was born June 9, 1927 in Weirton, WV. Judy loved cooking and gardening.

She especially loved the holidays and all of the family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents, Boris and Anna Nickolan Kriviski; husband, Earl R. “Doke” Simpson in 1988 whom she married March 29, 1946; sons, Jeffrey Lee Simpson in 2004 and Patrick “Topper” Simpson in 2006; sisters, infant baby Catherine Kriviski, Nellie D’Benzio, Helen Paulman and Irene Sabo; brothers, Harold, Charles and George Kriviski. Judy leaves behind her loving family, daughter, Cindy (Doug) Quinlan of Toronto, OH; son, Charlie (Sheri) Simpson of Hilliard, OH; grandchildren, Jodi (Ned) Bauhoff of York, PA, Julie (Doug) Fogle and Jeff (Liz) Simpson, Jr.all of Toronto, OH, Carrie (Wilson) Quinlan of Hilliard, OH, Adam (Miranda) Quinlan of Dayton, OH, Hillary Simpson of Youngstown, OH, Brady and Samantha Simpson of Hilliard, OH; great-grandchildren, Anna, Katie and Joe Bauhoff, Megan, Tye and Jeff Fogle and Lindsay Simpson; sister, Janice (Bill) Ledezzma of Los Angeles, CA and daughter-in-law, Jane Simpson of Toronto, OH.

Several nieces, nephews and cousins survive. Visitation hours for Judy will be held 11 am to 2 pm Tuesday, October 30th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH. A celebration service of Judy’s life will be held 2 pm Tuesday at the funeral home with a friend of the family, Jerry Richards officiating.

Interment will follow at the Toronto Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Judy may be given to the Tony Teramana Cancer Center T.E.A.R. fund 3200 Johnson Road, Steubenville, OH 43952 or Valley Hospice, 10686 State Rt.
