Mary L. Yocum, a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister age 98 of Toronto, OH passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at the Sienna Woods Nursing Home, Wintersville, OH. She was born June 30, 1920 in Salineville, OH Mary was a member of the North River Avenue Christian Church of Toronto, OH and was a former longtime member of the New Somerset Christian Church, New Somerset, OH. She had served on the Missionary Societies both churches.

She was a 1938 graduate of Toronto High School and a member of the Toronto High School Alumni Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Harrison Felton and Lucy Hayes Thomas Felton; husband, David E. “Pappy” Yocum in 2006 whom she married September 5, 1939; daughter, JoEllen Yocum in 1940; grandsons, Richard A. Yocum in 2000 and Richard S. Yocum in 2007; sisters, Beatrice Strabley and Lily LaRue, Edna McLean, Jean Boesch and Ibby Elliott and brothers, Raymond, George, Charles and Walter Conrad Felton. Mary is survived by her sons, Dennis (Charlotte) Yocum and David Mark Yocum of Toronto, OH, Rich (Patricia) Yocum of Pinehurst, NC, Phillip (Janet) Yocum of Harrisburg, OH and Keith ( Michael Hollis) Yocum of Royal Oak, MI; eight grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren Visitation hours for Mary will be held 1-3 & 6-8 Sunday, October 14th at the Clarke Funeral Home, 302 Main St., Toronto, OH.

A celebration service of Mary’s life will be held 11 A.M. Monday, October 15th at the funeral home with Pastor George W. Coffman II officiating.
