Obituary for Kenneth Lester Akens Kenneth Lester Akens, age 57, of Sweetwater, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, born and raised in Sweetwater he was a dairy farmer then a truck driver for many years. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Faye Akens. ; brother: Doyle Akens ; sister: Susie Akens.

Survivors include daughters: Paige Edwards and husband Stan, Angie Akens, all of Sweetwater; son: Brian Akens and wife Theresa of Athens; four grandchildren: Cheyenne, Dallas, Shelby and Savannah Edwards, all of Sweetwater; three step-grandchildren: Becky, Junior and Cassie Edwards, all of Rome, GA; mother of his children: Sandy Anderson, nephew and wife: Dustin and Amanda Akens. A graveside service will be held at Murray’s Baptist Church Cemetery on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at 3 P.M. Kyker Funeral Homes, Sweetwater, is in charge of all arrangements.
