Kenneth Robert Vitez, age 86 of Dorset, died Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Ashtabula Co. Medical Center. He was born June 17, 1932 in Cleveland, the son of Steve & Helen (Smetivy) Vitez and has resided in this area most of his life. Ken was a 1950 graduate of Rock Creek High School.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp, serving in the Korean Conflict as a radio operator. Ken was a retired 30-year employee of Reliance Electric. He loved fishing, hunting and the joy of farming the property.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Glenna M. (Graham) Vitez, whom he married June 30, 1955 at St. Joseph Calasanctius Church in Jefferson, a daughter, Bonnie Anthony of Sarasota, FL; a son, Ronald (Sherri) Vitez of Dorset; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Norman (Evelyn) Vitez of Belleville, IL and a sister, Sandy (Chet) White of Ft. Myers, FL. Honoring Ken’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
