Kermit Mitchell Pierce, “Mitch,” “Herbie,” 64 years old, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at his home in Genoa. He was born October 23, 1953, the son of Everett and Helen (Newton) Pierce. Kermit graduated from Genoa Area High School in 1971.

He worked at Martin-Marietta in Woodville for 40 years. Kermit was an avid Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions fan, and his favorite player was Al Kaline. He was also an Ohio State Buckeye fan and was an avid bowler.

Kermit is survived by… Read More » his children, Devin, Wendy and Derek “Little Mitch, ” three brothers and five sisters, Ann (Jim) Witt, Everett (Ellen) Pierce, Jr., Christine (Ray) Aldrich, Lee (Peg) Pierce, Zellie Pierce, Fran (Kevin) McComas, Tom (Lorie) Pierce and Tammy (Bill) Sutter, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Tyler Pierce, brother, Eddie Pierce, and nephew, Travis. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in Clay Township Cemetery with a gathering of family and friends from 12:30-1:00 p.m. Memorials for Kermit may be given to the family.

Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
