Obituary for Kevin J Lewis Kevin J. Lewis, 56, of Lake City, passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. He was born August 20, 1962 in Wabasha, Minn. to John and Marie (Walters) Lewis.
He grew up in Lake City and attended Lincoln High School before going on to attend the Vocational Technical College in Red Wing. After school he worked on turkey and dairy farms in the Red Wing and Goodhue areas. He married Jacquealine Davis in December of 1989.
The couple later divorced. He was an over the road truck driver for his whole career, starting with Lakeside Trucking in Plainview and then working for Knutson Trucking until the time of his passing. He was proud of his 12 years of sobriety as well as the people he helped along the way and the friends he made because of it.
Kevin enjoyed riding his Harley with the MC Chopper Club, cutting wood, horseback riding and spending time with his friends, family and especially his grandkids. He is survived by his parents, John and Marie Lewis of Lake City; three daughters, Vanessa Hartfield of Lake City, Amber Lewis of Rochester and Shantel Lewis of Lake City; 8 grandchildren, Jade, Maggie, Kaylea, Emma, Sophia, Alaina, Rylan and Kai; two sisters, Kay (Don) Hanson of Lake City and Karen (Guy) Turnbell of Lake City; one brother, Keith (Ann) Lewis of Lake City; fiancé Roxy Bartell of Red Wing; 9 nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, November 9th, 2018 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City with Reverend Steven Frentz officiating.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel, Lake City and one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
