Obituary of Larry Howard Norrington Larry Howard Norrington, 85, of Akron Twp. , our friendly, big hearted, creative, and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend went home to heaven on the afternoon of February 3, 2019 with his family by his side. Larry was born on November 2, 1933, the son of the late, Charles R. and Ardis I. (Haebler) Norrington.

Larry graduated from Akron-Fairgrove High School and went on to answer the call of his country, serving in the Army from 1953 until 1955. Larry worked with his father and uncle farming and retired from General Motors, was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and the VFW. On August 23, 2003, he married the former Jacquelyn Moreau.

Throughout life, Larry enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, scroll woodworking, gardening, taking care of his birds, and traveling to Ireland and the United States– he made it to all 50 states. Larry will be missed dearly but lovingly remembered for generations to come. Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 15 years, Jacquelyn; his daughter, Cindy (Jim) Gremel; step-children, Marjorie (Steve) Barst of West Virginia, Jerry (Marie) Moreau of Idaho, David (Nancy) Moreau of Tennessee, Andrew (Jacinda) Moreau of Idaho, Ann (Michael) Crites of Bay City, Jeffrey (Tricia) Moreau of Bay City, and Jennifer (Don) Neering of Bay City; four grandchildren; 21 step-granchildren; many great-grandchildren; his best friend Scooter, along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Larry was welcomed home to heaven by his first wife, Marlene Steele Norrington; daughter, Teresa Norrington; brother, Glen Norrington, and his best friend Buddy. Larry’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp.

On Friday, February 8, 2019 Larry will be taken to Bethel Lutheran Church, 749 N. Pine Rd. , Bay City, where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until the time of his 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony. Pastor Michael Killinger will officiate with private inurnment to take place in Demorest Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Feed My Lambs Principle or Shriners Hospital for Children. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www. skorupskis.com.
