Larry Joe Walsh February 27, 1946 – May 27, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Larry Joe Walsh, 73, Butler, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 27, 2019 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Born February 27, 1946 in Butler to the late Roddie V. & Alice Green Walsh. He had lived his entire life in Carter County.

He was a 1964 graduate of Hampton High School and graduate from East Tennessee State College with a degree in Psychology. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Larry was retired as a Social Worker with Children’s Service after 37 years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Gladys Evans, Eula Mae Main and Anna Ruth Campbell and two brothers: James Riley Walsh and Earl Dayton Walsh. Survivors include his wife of 45 years: Joyce Vines Walsh. His Children: Wendy Tester & husband Jimmy Tester II, Elizabethton, Jamie Walsh, Chattanooga, and Sherry Walsh, Elizabethton.

His Grandchildren: Riley Tester, Makayla Walsh Anderson and Greyson Walsh. Two Brothers: Roddie Walsh, Jr., of California and Bill Walsh, Butler. Several nieces & nephews.

His Mother-In-Law Selma Vines, Fish Springs. His four legged baby Zoey. It was his wish to be cremated and no services are planned.

Friends may visit with his family at the residence of his mother-in-law: Selma Vines, Fish Springs.
