She was the daughter of the late Jesse W. James and Mary E. “Pete” Hamlett James. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert “Mac” James and Marvin James.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia James Davis (James); four brothers, Edward James (Edith), Milton James, Timothy James (Brenda), and Dennis James; two sisters, Brenda Thornhill (Butch) and Carolyn Jones; one aunt, Pearline Monroe; five grandchildren, David Thomas, Aprill Thomas, Tammy Perkins (Roger), Terri Coles (Gordon), and Jennifer Summers (Emanuel); 15 greatgrandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren; a devoted grandson, Charlie Bob Jennings Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Community Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family is receving friends from 7 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Community Funeral Home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home.
