Obituary of Laura Demeter Laura J. (Albright) Demeter, 72, of Pottstown, PA, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. She was the wife of Michael Demeter with whom she shared 54 years of marriage. Born in Pottstown, PA on December 5, 1945, Laura was the daughter of the late John and Ida (Moyer) Albright.

Laura worked in the nursery at Zion’s UCC for over thirty years. She enjoyed traveling to Germany, England, and Dubai. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family.

She is survived by seven children, Michael Demeter, Jr., Pottstown, PA; David Demeter, husband of Emily, Nashville, TN; Ted Demeter, husband of Tori, Norristown, PA; Donna Litwin, wife of Robert, Shillington, PA; Paula Demeter, Pottstown, PA; Lauren Andre, wife of Joseph, Guam; and Jim Demeter, husband of Veronica, Royersford, PA; five siblings, Henry Albright, Betty Hawthorne, Joan Stein, Lois Oister, and Douglas Albright; and twenty grandchildren. A viewing will take place on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A Life Celebration will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park.
