Obituary of Virginia Albright Virginia “Ginny” R. (Derrish) Albright, 72, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her home in Pottstown, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Michael J. Albright with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Mahanoy City, PA, on June 7, 1946, Virginia was the daughter of the late Martin and Rose (Pedriani) Derrish.

Virginia graduated from St. Pius X High School in 1964. She then worked as a transcriptionist in the Pottstown and Phoenixville Hospitals and Comprehensive Diagnostic Center in Pottstown. Virginia’s greatest enjoyment was cooking for her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Yvonne Albright, Pottstown, PA; Michael Albright, Pottstown, PA; and Christy Durante, wife of Mark, Coatesville, PA. She is predeceased by one sister, Rosemarie Kidon. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Saint Aloysius Church, 223 Beech St., Pottstown, PA 19464.

A funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place after the service at Saint Aloysius New Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Virginia’s memory to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, 533 Foundry Rd. , Norristown, PA 19403 or online at www.
