Obituary of Ronald Frongello Ronald L. Frongello, 83, of Collegeville, PA, formerly of Hingham, MA, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Sanatoga Center. He was the husband of Barbara (AuCoin) Frongello with whom he shared 52 years of marriage. Born in Boston, MA, on December 18, 1934, Ronald was the son of the late Ernest and Mary (Purificato) Frongello.

Ronald graduated from North Quincy High School in 1952. After graduating, Ronald signed with the Cleveland Indians, where he pitched and played left outfield. Shortly after, he was drafted into the Army, where he served in Korea for 2 years.

He was traded to the Kansas City Athletics in 1958, where he played ball for them for 2 years. After a baseball injury, Ronald went to Northeastern University and spent the rest of his career in banking. He retired from banking, after 42 years in the industry, as a Senior Vice President of Rockland Trust Company (Braintree, Ma).

Ronald continued his passion for baseball, and was able to scout part time for the Boston Red Sox, for over 25 years, throughout his banking career. In 2013 Ronald was also inducted into North Quincy’s baseball hall of fame. In the minds of his loved ones, it is no coincidence that the Red Sox won the world series, the night he passed away.

Ronald was man of honor, integrity, love and loyalty. His kindness and generosity knew no limits, and he was loved/adored by everyone who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lori Tunstall, wife of George, Royersford, PA and Linda Santacroce, Collegeville, PA; two granddaughters, Ava and Lyla; and four siblings, Susan, Rudolph, Dorothy, and Robert.

He was predeceased by four siblings, Esther, Joseph, Frances, and Gloria. Services will be private and held at a later date in Massachusetts. Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464 will be handling the arrangements.
