Obituary of Joyce Detweiler Joyce A. (Mogel) Detweiler, 89, of Pottstown, PA went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Berkshire Center in Reading, PA. She was the wife of the late Kenneth S. Detweiler who transitioned in 2002. Born in Limerick, PA on November 20, 1928, Joyce was the daughter of the late Alvin S. Mogel and Ellena M. (Frankenberg) Mogel.

She is survived by two sons, Karl Detweiler, husband of Julene, Palmyra, PA and Darryl Detweiler, husband of Denise, Douglassville, PA; three grandchildren, Kelly Choate, Erik Detweiler, and Kalyn Detweiler; one great-grandson, Cameron Choate; and two siblings, Doris Frain and Pete Mogel. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by four siblings. A viewing will take place on Monday, October 8, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Church of Boyertown, 250 Sweinhart Rd.

, Boyertown, PA 19512. A Life Celebration will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed in Joyce’s memory to Christian Endeavor, 1617 Swamp Pk.
