Our sweet Lauren passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 7:13 am at Comer Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Her parents, Tim and Jamie Miller were both with her when she left us quickly and painlessly. Lauren fought very hard and chose her time to go on her terms.

Lauren Jamie Miller was born on November 20, 2010 in Libertyville, IL. Our girl was a shining soul of love, compassion, and empathy for others. She was an artist, dancer, musician, and most importantly an amazing sister and daughter.

Lauren… Read More » is survived by her loving parents, Tim and Jamie, and her awesome brother, Owen; Grandparents, Byron Johnson, Coleen Johnson, Doug Miller, Julianne Dolan and her loving family- Erin, Jake and Libby Pifer; Byron, Jennifer, Alyssa Moon, Madison Moon, Savannah, Isabel, and Zachary Johnson; Dan, Jo, Regina, Todd, and Benjamin Johnson; Lindsay, Jeff, Addison, Ava, and Austin Gertz. Lauren was preceded in death by her cousin, Hailey Gertz and many wonderful family members who greeted her in heaven with much joy! We all loved her so much.

Thank you for being a part of her life and her battle. To Lauren’s Lumberjack’s all over the world, there are not enough notes or letters to thank all of you for what each of you have done for our family through this process. Please be kind to yourselves and others.

Celebration of Life services for Lauren Miller will be held on Saturday, May 5th at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00-8:00 pm. Both will take place at Kisselburg Wauconda Funeral Home 235 N. Main St. Wauconda, IL 60084.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like you to consider gifts to any of the following organizations that so greatly impacted Lauren’s care and journey. -Enhance Jonathan Tutko’s music therapy program at Comer Children’s Hospital at the University of Chicago. -Increase funding, research, and awareness for Neuroblastoma through the Super Jake Foundation http://www.
