LaVerne Stovicek, age 93, a 30 year resident of Eagle River, WI and Formerly of Oak Brook, IL, passed away on Tuesday August 28, 2018 at the Milestone Senior Living facility in Eagle River, WI. LaVerne was born on June 24, 1925 in Chicago, IL to Henry and Bessie Hovorka. She was a graduate of Morton High School in Chicago, IL.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Stovicek; her parents: Henry and Bessie Hovorka; and her sister: Genie Sobolik. She is survived by her daughter: Beth Lausche of Eagle River, WI; sister: Gladys Slaughter of CA; grandchildren: Noah Lausche of Madison, WI, Christopher (Amanda) Lausche of Kansas City, MO and Matthew Lausche of CO. ; 3 great grandchildren; other family; and many friends.

LaVerne’s family wishes to extend special thanks to Milestone Senior Living’s staff and Ascension Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Memorials to Ascension Hospice are appreciated by her family. Private family services for LaVerne have taken place.
