Lawrence Vincent Moore, Sr. December 19, 1943 – January 13, 2019 Lawrence Vincent Moore, Sr. of Roanoke, Virginia was called home on Sunday, January 13, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He was 75 years old. Lawrence was born December 19th, 1943 in Roanoke, VA.

His parents were George and Zennie Moore. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church. He attended Roanoke City Public Schools and graduated from Addison High School in 1963.

After graduation, he lived in New York for several years. After returning to Roanoke, he was employed at Roanoke Mills for many years. He also worked at Rose Porsche Audi and Fred Whittaker.

In 1967, he married Barbara Brown and from this union two children were born, Barbara Yvette Moore and Lawrence Vincent Moore, Jr. Lawrence was a patient and laid-back Soul. He loved the Lord and he loved his family. He always had a smile and kind encouraging words for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Zennie Moore, brother, George Nelson Moore and sister, Loretta Vance. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Yvette, son Lawrence, Jr. (Marie); his grandchildren, Troynae and Mathew Lewis, Crystal Zennitra Moore, Lawrence Anthony Moore, Justin Moore, Parker Moore, former wife and special friend, Barbara M. Brown; brothers, John T. and Allen Moore; sisters, Mary B. Reynolds, Juanita Scott (Baltimore, MD) Constance Turner (Stafford, VA), Sheila Moore, Gail Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
