Leah’s Obituary THURAU, Leah Belle (Baucus) – of Burton, age 86, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 14, 2019. Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd. , Davison, MI 48423; Pastor Michael Thurau officiating.

Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 PM – 8 PM Monday. A Memorial Service, under the auspices of the Order of Eastern Stars #507, will be held 7 PM Monday.

There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Orders of the Eastern Stars #507 or to the family. Leah was born on May 7, 1932 in Flint, MI, daughter of the late Leon and Mabel (Hansen) Baucus.

She married Richard Thurau on April 28, 1951 and he preceded her in death August 11, 1996. Leah was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars Grand Blanc Chapter #507 and the local Red Hats Society for many years. She enjoyed her family and friends, going out to lunch or dinner and playing Skip-Bo.

Leah is survived by her daughters, Christine Jones, Becky Thurau and Jeanine Thurau; grandchildren, Adam (Alicia) Jones, Kellie (Larry) VanderMolen and Haleigh Martin; great-grandchildren, Jason, Jaxon, Juliana, Hadlee and Preslee. They brought great joy to her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard and their son, Scott.
