Leighman “Jack” Blanks, 92, of 250 Alpine Dr., Danville, VA passed away on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at his residence. He was born on Sept.

19, 1925, to Swanson and Meitha Blanks. Jack was the oldest of six children and leaves behind his loving wife Jean Bradshaw Blanks; his daughter Phyllis Acker; his stepson Steve Weeks; his granddaughter Ashley Acker; his sister Barbara Taylor; and 7 nieces and 2 nephews. Jack was a veteran of the United States Navy.

3, 2018, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel. The memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor W.L. Wade officiating.
