Lendal M. Patterson, 95, of North Vernon, died at his home at 7:30 a.m. Monday, May 21, 2018. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Rev.

Mark Hammel will officiate. Burial with full military rites will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Calling will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Patterson was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. He retired from Patterson Auto at the age of 90 and then went to work for Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service for a few years. He was a member of the Nazarene Church and attended Browns Corner Chapel.

Born in Russel Springs, KY, June 24, 1922, Mr. Patterson was the son of William M. and Alta Rexroat Patterson. He married Pauline Ison on May 18, 1946, and she survives. Other survivors include children, Darrell (Sharynn) and Dwight (Marisa) Patterson, and Kimberly (Montie) Polly; brothers, Pat “Leon” (Lenore) Patterson and William “Curly” (Barbara) Patterson; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one niece and two nephews.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice of South Central Indiana.
