Leon Ross, 67, of Seymour, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Norton Hospital in Louisville. He was born in Seymour to the late Charles and Martha (Borders) Ross. Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Thursday at 1 pm with Sister Jean Pogue officiating.

Burial will follow at Conologue Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Wednesday from 4-8 pm and Thursday from 12 noon until time of service. On June 29, 1970, he married Charlotte (Davers) Ross; she preceded him in death on November 12, 2017.

He was employed with Baxter Lumber for 28 years. He loved dirt track racing. He was a great mechanic that loved rebuilding old hot rods.

He is survived by his children, John (Melissa Wagner) Ross, Amney Schrader and Charles Ross; grandchildren, Robert Ross, Bethany Ross, Morgan Ross, Elizabeth Wagner-Ross, Destinee Ross, Vanessa Ross, Preston Ross, Owen Ross, Emma Heaton, Amileigh Schrader and Georgalynn Schrader; 5 great-grandchildren; siblings, Beverly Sue York, Diana Caplinger and Garry Ross; and companion, Bev Gudgel. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sisters, Cecilia J. (Ross) Sweany and Audrey York. Memorials may be written to Conologue Cemetery, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
