Leonard’s Obituary Leonard Eugene Vanderpool Leonard Eugene Vanderpool, age 79, a resident of Cowgill, Missouri, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019, in Lathrop, Missouri. Leonard was born the son of Buford and Ruth (Conner) Vanderpool on June 28, 1939, in Rural Braymer, Missouri. He was a 1957 graduate of Platte City High School.

Leonard worked as a cattle and grain farmer his whole life. He was a member of the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri. Leonard loved his family and friends.

He loved watching his grandchildren’s school activities. Leonard was a motorcycle enthusiast, and enjoyed showing his pickup trucks and tractors. Survivors include three daughters, Karen Stollings and husband Robert of Cowgill, Missouri, Lori Drummond and husband Joe of Liberty, Missouri, and Paula Stocklaufer of Liberty, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Reba of the home.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Braymer Christian Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Saturday, January 26, 2019, one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Friday, January 25, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Braymer, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
