LeRoy’s Obituary Lawrence Leroy Reeves of Spokane, Missouri, departed this life on Sunday, March 17, 2019, at the Ozark Nursing & Care Center in Ozark, Missouri, at the age of 85. He was born April 1, 1933, in Lead, South Dakota, to Lawrence Sidney and Viola Fern Reeves. He graduated in 1951 from the Paullina High School in Paullina, Iowa.

Leroy was united in marriage to Peggy Stephens on September 15, 1988, at Point Lookout, Missouri. Survivors include his wife, Peggy; four daughters, Connie Maples of Laredo, Texas; Cheryll White and husband Randy of Overland Park, Kansas; Cindy Propst of Springfield, Mo. , and Cathy Larino and husband Paul of Wiggins, Colorado; two sons; Larry Reeves and wife Gena of Leawood, Kansas, and Joshua Reeves and wife Toni of Highlandville, Mo.

; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Salsbury and husband Fred of Waseca, Minnesota; and many nieces and nephews. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Viola (Johnston) Reeves; and a brother, Dale Reeves.

Leroy served two years of active duty in the US Army as an infantryman and driver from 1953 to 1955. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal in August 1954. His business ventures included being an owner of a resort and flea market, and Kimberling City Plumbing which he owned and operated from 1964-1991.

During his semi-retirement years he was employed as a school bus driver for the Nixa and Ozark Schools. He was very well known and credited for his relentless work ethics and skills. He was an avid football fan and greatly enjoyed ship cruises.

Leroy was a faithful member of the New Testament Christian Church in Reeds Spring. He was loved and respected by his family, community, and friends; and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at the New Testament Christian Church in Reeds Spring on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at 1 PM and will be officiated by Rev.

Jerry Jenkins and Rev. Ray Brinson. Burial will be at the Galena Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the New Testament Christian Church, 21016 Main Street, Reeds Spring, Mo. 65737 Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, MO.
